I’ve created an Amazon aStore dedicated to those who are interested in taking Java certifications. Books are arranged per certification exam, from the Associate Exam (entry level) to the Enterprise Architect Exam (advanced).

If you have comments or suggestions on how to improve the site, feel free to drop me a line.

    Hello.

I am interested in taking the java mobile applications certification. What books do you recommend. I have a programming background. I have not used java recently, but I am a sun certified java programmer. As I cannot afford the sun classes, if you have any suggestions of how to learn the information and prepare it would be a great help.

By the way, do you live in the Phillipines. I am also filipino, but I live in the US.

    I appreciate the help.

Hi Celia! Yes I’m based in the Philippines and loving it! :)

How long have you been in the US? Hope you’re also enjoying your stay there and making our country proud.

Regarding SCMAD, Beginning J2ME is still the most recommended book by far. They have yet to release a book specifically targeted for the exam but most people say that you can get good results in the exam with the said book plus an exam simulator of your choice (enthuware, whizlabs, etc).

You can also checkout this thread from JavaRanch for other comments.

Anyway, good luck with your exam Celia!
